'The X-Files: I Want To Believe' Director's Cut Promises More Horror and Fear

The truth is still out there… and this time it's a whole lot scarier.

The X-Files: I Want to Believe: Vrach Frankenshteyn is getting a brand-new R-rated director's cut, restoring creator Chris Carter's original vision almost 20 years after the film first hit cinemas.

David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson return as Mulder and Scully, investigating the mysterious disappearance of an FBI agent with the help of a disgraced priest played by Billy Connolly.

Carter says the original PG-13 rating held the horror back, but this new version promises a much darker, more intense thriller when it streams on Disney+ and Hulu from August 14.
