The local MP is hosting a small business morning tea with the Minister and WA’s Small Business Commissioner David Eaton.

The event, which is scheduled for Friday August 24, will be held at Catalano and Co cafe in Baldivis.

“Many of our local small businesses are finding it tough at the moment and I want to make sure they have access to advice that could help their bottom line,” Mr Whitby said.

“Baldivis is an aspirational suburb and many families have started businesses. They play a key role in supporting our local economy by employing hundreds of local people.

“I grew up in a small business family and I understand the challenges of working long hours and paying everyone else before you even start to make a profit.

Mr Whitby said local bosses could come and seek advice about a range of issues including commercial tenancies, marketing, finance and management.

"This is free information that could boost your business," he said.

“Small Business Minister Paul Papalia will speak about the government’s reforms to support small business and encourage employment.

“WA’s Small Business Commissioner and CEO of the Small Business Development Corporation will provide information on the wide range of advice and other services available at the SBDC as well as answer your questions.”

Mr Whitby urged business owners who want to come along to contact his office on 9523 2921 or email him at baldivis@mp.wa.gov.au to secure a seat.

The morning tea will take place between 10am and 11.30 next Friday.
