Visitors with a taste for a quality tipple will be pointed in the right direction with the launch of the Peel Craft Beer and Wine Trail.

Featuring seven of the region’s best beer and wine offerings, the trail was developed and funded by Tourism WA in partnership with Mandurah and Peel Tourism Organisation (MAPTO) and local businesses.

MAPTO CEO Karen Priest said the focus was on providing an authentically local experience.

“Tourism regions that have a lot of food and beverage experiences to offer can seem overwhelming to visitors, they just don’t know where to start” Ms Priest said.

“In developing this trail, the idea was to work with local businesses to narrow down the offerings and make them more accessible by creating a trail showcasing the Peel Region’s best locally produced beverages.”

A workshop was hosted by Tourism WA and MAPTO last year.

Following that, businesses interested in being part of the project formed a working group to lead development of the trail.

The result is an easy to read map on how to get from place to place, transport options available, food offerings and general information about the region.

The businesses that make up the Peel Craft Beer and Wine Trail are; Three Rivers Brewing, Peel Estate Wines, White Lakes Brewing, King Road Brewing Co, Millbrook Winery, Drakesbrook Fine Wines, and the Skipworth Wine Company.

Copies of the map are available at Peel Region visitor centres and the participating wineries and breweries.

The trail will soon be uploaded to the Trails WA website.
