Police have charged a 15-year-old boy over a violent armed hold-up at a Greenfields deli.
It is alleged three males entered the Murdoch Drive deli around 4pm on Sunday.
Two of the offenders were allegedly armed with weapons including a machete.
One of the men allegedly struck a female worker to the shoulder with the blunt part of the machete, before he slashed another employee to the face with the sharp edge of the weapon.
Both women managed to run out the back of the store, while the males stole cigarettes from behind the counter.
One woman aged in her 50s was conveyed to Peel Health Campus for treatment, while a woman aged in her 40s was taken to Fiona Stanley Hospital for treatment of a deep facial laceration.
The trio left the scene on foot heading north towards Bortolo Park.
A 15-year-old boy was found hiding in bushes a short distance away.
He was arrested and has since been charged with aggravated armed robbery and assault occasioning bodily harm.
He will appear in the Perth Children’s Court today
Two of the men remain on the run and police are appealing for anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or to make a report online at crimestopperswa.com.au.
