A driver has fled the scene of a crash in Port Kennedy.
Police say the Nissan X-trail hit a parked Ford Ranger on Endeavour Drive around 11.30pm on Monday, causing extensive damage to both vehicles.
The Nissan then continued for a short distance before being abandoned.
The owner of the Ford Ranger has taken to social media, appealing for the driver to come forward.
"Unfortunately our car is a write off, our building materials are completely destroyed and we won’t be able to work until a completely new car is set up for our trade. That could be anywhere up to a few months," wrote the owner.
"If you are the owner of the car, please get your son to come forward! We are a hard working, young family with a 1 year old son and a business that doesn’t operate without our work vehicle and tools."
Inquiries into the crash are continuing.
Anyone with information should contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
