Rockingham detectives are hunting a man who robbed an 84-year-old woman in Calista.
The woman was walking along Bright Road at about 11:45am yesterday when she was approached by a man who grabbed hold of her handbag until she fell to the ground and hit her head.
Police said then man then dragged the woman along the pathway by her handbag, before he was able to seize it from her and took off in a car which was parked nearby.
The small white vehicle was last seen driving off north along Chilcott Street.
The woman suffered grazes and bruising during the incident.
The man is described as being 19-20 years of age, of a medium build, with dark hair, and was wearing a black top and black shorts.
