Facebook is set to lift its ban on Australian news.
It is understood the Federal Government and the social media giant have agreed to some amendments to the Media Bargaining Code.
Australian news pages are expected to be restored in the coming days meaning local news sites will once again be able to share content to their followers.
The move comes six days after Facebook blocked all news content following the Federal Government's push to force platforms to pay for news.
