The City of Rockingham's Summer Series of free, family-friendly events is set to return for 2020/2021.
The Summer Series will run from December 2020 until the end of April 2021 and will provide the community with a chance to engage and connect with fun, free activities at the City’s foreshore reserves and parks throughout the warmer months of the year.
All activities are suitable for families and are held in an alcohol and smoke-free environment.
Key events the City is planning to host this summer include its annual Christmas Festival, Australia Day, Symphony on the Green, International Food Festival, Community Breakfast Ride and Performance in the Park (Wizard of Oz).
Popular foreshore activities and events including yoga, tai chi, entertainment performances, public art tours, community fun days, outdoor cinema screenings and Soulful Sundays will also return.
City of Rockingham Mayor Barry Sammels said the Summer Series represented a fantastic opportunity for families to get outdoors and connect with each other.
“Our Summer Series has grown into a hugely popular program that gives community members a chance to enjoy a number of events and activities in a family-friendly atmosphere,” Mayor Sammels said.
“We have events for all different tastes, so whatever your age or background, there is truly something for everyone.
“As we all know, COVID-19 may cause some plans to change, so the City encourages the community to check our website and social media channels for the latest event information closer to the date.”
