After a shock guilty plea on Monday, 31-year-old Damian Eric Maxfield will be sentenced in the Western Australian Supreme Court on Thursday morning.
Maxfield was expected to stand trial on Monday, accused for murdering 40-year-old Scott Martin, and injuring his partner 32-year-old partner Erelle Mason, at the Blue Bay Apartment in 2017.
The accused immediately entered a guilty plea for the January 14 murder and home invasion.
Mr Martin was stabbed to death, while Ms Mason was brutally bashed, as they woke to find Maxfield, who was not known to them, inside their Halls Head apartment.
Maxfield will be sentenced this morning.
