Operations at the Mandurah Waste Management Centre have been impacted after a break in and "severe vandalism" overnight.
The tip will not be accepting general waste and junk until further notice.
Green waste, general recyclables (cardboard, tyres, scrap metal, mattresses, waste oil, bricks/soil, asbestos, e-waste), and household hazardous waste are still being accepted at the site.
Regular household bin collections will continue to operate as normal.
Please note verge collections for green waste starts Monday September 28 and will be unaffected.
The City is working as fast as it can to address the damage caused and will update the community again next week.
