Police are investigating a stealing incident that occurred at the Mandurah Foreshore on Tuesday.
Between 5.10pm and 5.40pm, a woman took her brother who has a medical condition requiring the use of a gopher to the foreshore.
The gopher was parked outside the visitor centre whilst the victims were using the rest room.
A man riding a skateboard approached the area and put his skateboard in the gopher before stealing the gopher and driving away in it.
The gopher also contained the owner’s mobile phone and other personal items.
The gopher but not the personal items were located by police parked in the carport of a block of units on Rockford Street in Mandurah and returned to the owner.
Police wish to speak to the man pictured below who they believe can assist them with this investigation and are urging him to come forward.
Anyone who can identify the man or who has information relating to this incident, is asked to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or to make a report online at www.crimestopperswa.com.au.
