A Secret Harbour woman had a nasty surprise while cooking dinner on Monday night.
A local resident posted to a local community Facebook page warning other residents after she found a metal chain in her mince.
The woman said she purchased the 1kg mince from Coles Secret Harbour on Friday.
"Lesson learnt not to buy their mince again," her post read.
The customer returned to the store on Tuesday where she was given a full refund.
A Coles spokesperson said the supermarket takes the quality of all our products seriously.
"We have contacted the customer and will follow up with our supplier to investigate the matter," they said.
"We guarantee our Coles Brand products and as always encourage customers to return any item they’re not 100% happy with to their nearest store for a full refund or replacement.”
