A smoke alert has been issued for Pinjarra, Coolup and surrounding areas in the Shire of Murray.
The smoke is due to a prescribed burn east of North Dandalup.
It's expected to clear overnight.
Residents are advised to shut doors and windows and turn off air-conditioners.
