A 19-year-old man has been charged after allegedly driving into a group of teenagers, claiming the life of a 16-year-old girl.
The man was driving a white Holden utility along Davis Road in Monjingup around 1.30am on Saturday when he allegedly struck a group of three pedestrians.
16-year-old Kaitlyn Scott received critical injuries and was rushed to Esperance Hospital where she later died.
The two other pedestrians, an 18-year-old woman and an 18-year-old man were treated for minor injuries.
The driver from Nulsen has been charged with manslaughter, failing to stop and give assistance after an incident occasioning death and failing to report an incident occasioning death.
He is due to appear before the Perth Magistrates Court today.
