Rockingham Detectives have charged two men after an incident in Rockingham yesterday, 16 January 2020.
About 5.30pm, the victim, a woman in her 20s had just parked her Hyundai Accent in the underground carpark of a shopping centre located on Syren Street in Rockingham, when it is alleged she was approached by the men.
It is further alleged then men, one armed with a knife, threatened the woman and demanded she get out of her car. One of the men managed to get into her car before she managed to exit the vehicle. The men drove off with her car.
Police located the men and the vehicle a short time later and they were taken into custody.
A 23-year-old man of Corrigin and a 27-year-old man from Thornlie have both been charged with Aggravated Armed Robbery and they are due to appear before the Rockingham Magistrates Court today, 17 January 2020.
