Police are now searching for the man after the incident took place on Sunday afternoon.
The bizarre act of vandalism at the popular tourist spot was captured on camera by a disgusted witness.
The witnesses who captured the act confronted the man and questioned him.
"That's my poo," the man can be heard saying in the footage.
"That's my personal prerogative," he continued when asked why he was desecrating the memorial.
The witness who took the video reported the man to Police who are now investigating.
