The man accused of murdering his wife and burying her body at their Carlisle home has been remanded in custody.
Ahmed Dawood Seedat (36) made a brief appearance at the Perth Magistrates Court on Wednesday morning, accused of murdering the mother of his children.
Authorities said the body of 32-year-old Fahima Yusuf was discovered on Wednesday afternoon at the family home in Perth's south, several days after she was reported missing by family members.
Seedat is accused of murdering his wife and burying her body in the backyard of their Weston Street home, in Carlisle Homicide Squad Detectives found the mother's body on Wednesday.
Cannington police interviewed Seedat on Tuesday night and was charged with murder following the discovery of the victim's body.
During a court appearance on Thursday morning the accused was refused bail and was ordered to remain in custody.
He will reappear later in September at the Stirling Gardens Magistrates Court.
The home remains cordoned off with police still at the scene.
