Construction is underway on the new Mandurah Hospital.
The five-storey facility is being built on land next to the existing Peel Health Campus in Greenfields.
The $950 million hospital will have 300 beds, a dedicated mental health emergency centre, a larger emergency department than Peel Health Campus and maternity and out-patients services, palliative care services, and new cancer treatment services.
Forward works have begun at the site with the hospital set to open in 2029.
“The New Mandurah Hospital is a major investment in the future of the Peel region, delivering more beds, expanded services, and better access to health care closer to home," Premier Roger Cook said.
