A Dawesville resident has started a petition for a police station to be built closer to the suburb after a series of attacks on kangaroos in the area.
Erin Boreham was woken around 4am on Friday to find three men and a dog mauling a kangaroo in her front yard.
"One was holding its front legs, one was holding its back legs and one was trying to hold its head back so the dog could maul it," she told West Coast Radio.
"They were just laying into it, punching it, kicking it, hitting it with rocks."
Ms Boreham took to social media, alerting residents about the attack.
Since then, several more residents have come forward, some with CCTV, where men can been seen using weapons to attack the animals in suburban streets, even encouraging their dogs to rip them apart.
These incidents date back to January 2022.
Ms Boreham said it takes too long for police to arrive because they are coming from Mandurah and often the attackers have left the area in the 30 minutes it takes for officers to attend.
"This is simply not safe. If someone in Falcon, Dawesville, or other surrounding suburbs is in an immediate, life-threatening situation - 30 minutes could easily swing momentum to the wrong side of that 50/50 chance," her petition read.
"The population in these areas is rapidly increasing, its simply becoming a necessity. The people need support, they are beginning to feel unsafe in their own homes. We need action."
Ms Boreham said those responsible for the kangaroo attacks need to be stopped.
"They just seem like animals themselves...I don't know how anyone can hurt animals in general much less trying to make it slow and painful and then they go and do it on peoples front yards...it's just disgusting," she said.
"A lot of people live here to be around the wildlife, it's very important for them and I think as well as catching the guys that are doing this now, it's also about making sure that we can protect the wildlife that we still have around in the future as well.
"Hopefully we'll start to get looked at now that there's a big showing of support from everyone...hopefully it's getting enough of a voice where the people in power will actually take notice of what's going on and try and do something."
The RSPCA is investigating.
