Hayden Ballantyne has returned to where his AFL career began, but this time as a coach.
The 37-year-old joins the senior coaching department as a skills coach ahead of the 2025 WAFL season.
Ballantyne played for Peel Thunder from 2005 before being drafted to the Fremantle Dockers in 2008.
He played 80 WAFL league games and 171 AFL games and was a 2008 Sandover and Tuckey Medallist.
"Ballas is highly respected, brings invaluable knowledge of WAFL football and the importance of a competitive mindset in all aspects, on and off the field," the Peel Thunder Football Club said in a statement.
"The Club is thrilled and grateful to have Ballas working alongside our coaches with our young and exciting squad!"
The 2025 WAFL season begins on April 5.
