Two local businesses have been announced as finalists in the 2024 National Seafood Industry Awards.
The Fisho, who operate out of Karnup and Greenfields, were selected as a finalist in the Best Small Seafood Business category.
"We are incredibly honoured and grateful to be recognised among the nation's finest seafood businesses," The Fisho said in a Facebook post.
"This achievement is a testament to our dedicated team, our unwavering commitment to quality and sustainability, and the outstanding support we receive from our local communities.
"Together, we've transformed The Fisho into more than just an ordinary fish van – we're an extraordinary seafood experience that proudly supports local fishing industries across Western Australia and Australia."
Sea West, who operate Mandurah Cruises, were also named a finalist in the Seafood Experience category for their Mandurah and Rottnest deluxe seafood cruises.
"We’re over the moon to announce that with our Mandurah/ Rottnest deluxe Seafood cruises we’ve made the top 3 nationwide in the 2024 National Seafood Industry Awards: *Seafood Experience* category," Mandurah Cruises said in a Facebook post.
"We also want to send a big shoutout to all the other finalists, especially another brilliant Mandurah based business “The Fisho”, in the running for Best Small Business!"
Winners will be announced at the 2024 National Seafood Industry Awards in Tasmania on September 13.
