Two female musicians have been awarded top honours in the City of Rockingham's annual competition.
Music lovers gathered to watching the final of the City of Rockingham's Act-Belong-Commit Breakthrough Music Competition.
The competition, open for 12 to 24-year-olds, gave young performers he chance to showcase their talents, and to share in cash and prizes.
In the junior division Brooke Bugeja took out first place ahead of Ree Peric and Ella-Grace while Cecilia Brandolini was crowned the winner in the senior category ahead of Rachel Elder and Tijana Simich.
City of Rockingham Mayor Barry Sammels congratulated the winners on their efforts in the final.
“The quality of all entrants in the 2018 Act-Belong-Commit Breakthrough Music Competition was fantastic and I congratulate the winners on their outstanding performances,” he said.
“Breakthrough continues to go from strength-to-strength each year and opens up some amazing opportunities for all the young performers that take part.”
Heats for the competition began in early September, with live performances taking place at Secret Harbour Square, Warnbro Centre and Rockingham Centre ahead of the final.
This year the final was held alongside the Up-Cycle Art Project Exhibition at the Rockingham Arts Centre.
