A man who allegedly threatened police with a stolen golf club has been arrested and charged.
The man allegedly entered the garage of a home on Cawana Parkway around 7.30pm on Sunday, arming himself with a golf club he found inside.
He then allegedly went into the home where he was confronted by a resident.
The man allegedly threatened the resident before fleeing the scene with the golf club.
A short time later the man, armed with the club, approached a woman who was sitting in her car which was parked outside a home on Nullewa Parkway.
The woman was forced to run from her car after the man allegedly threatened her, demanding she give him the vehicle.
He then allegedly hit the car with the golf club, smashing one of the windows.
Police attended the scene and chased the man on foot.
While on the run, he allegedly smashed the tail light of another vehicle.
The man, who was still armed with the golf club, was eventually tasered after he became aggressive towards officers.
The 27-year-old Mandurah man has been charged with a string of offences including aggravated home burglary, being armed in a way to cause fear, criminal damage and breach of bail.
He was refused bail and is due to appear in the Perth Magistrates Court today.
