Man falls several metres during Stirling Ranges hike

Emergency services have rescued a man who fell several metres while hiking in the Stirling Range National Park.

The man in his 30s was walking with a group of people when he fell and landed on a rock around 7am on Tuesday.

The RAC rescue helicopter successfully winched the injured hiker to safety and flew him to Albany Hospital.

The extent of his injuries are not yet known but he is believed to be conscious and talking.
