New statistics have revealed the Mandurah Police District has the worst domestic violence rates across the Perth metropolitan area.
Figures released by WA police shows the district, which encompasses Kwinana, Rockingham, Mandurah, Pinjarra and Dwellingup, has the highest number of family violence assaults so far this financial year with 2940 cases reported since July 1, 2024.
This equates to 918.9 cases per 100,000 people.
Next was the Armadale District with 2387 incidents followed by the Cannington District with 1886.
Across WA there were 3379 domestic violence assaults in March alone, an average of 109 a day.
