Mandurah's tourism organisation, Visit Mandurah, is celebrating yet another win.

The group clinched Silver and Bronze at the 2023 Qantas Australian Tourism Awards held in Darwin on Friday night.

Visit Mandurah's "BIG reasons to visit Mandurah" campaign captured the attention of judges, earning the organisation the coveted Bronze award for Destination Marketing.

The Visitor Servicing team then scooped up Silver in the National Visitor Servicing category, following two consecutive years of Gold wins at the State level.

Mandurah Mayor Rhys Williams said it had been a huge couple of years for Mandurah after the City and its partners had taken a fresh approach to local tourism.

“Around five years ago, Council put a new, ambitious agenda in place to re-establish Mandurah as an important part of the state’s tourism scene,” Mayor Williams said.

“This included a program of major improvements and upgrades to our much-loved public spaces, and establishing and funding our tourism organisation, Visit Mandurah, a skilled and dedicated team of experts who have helped to propel Mandurah tourism forward with huge
successes along the way. This includes Mandurah being named Australia’s Top Tourism Town in 2023.”

“I’m really proud of our local tourism operators and businesses for all their efforts, plus the amazing team at Visit Mandurah for their commitment to highlighting Mandurah on such a massive scale.”

Visit Mandurah General Manager Anita Kane highlighted the organisation’s dedication to positioning Mandurah as a premier destination in
the tourism industry.

“We are thrilled with the continuing recognition for Mandurah and the commitment of our small yet passionate team and their efforts to showcase Mandurah, enhance tourism offerings and outcomes, as well as gaining well-deserved recognition for Mandurah”, Ms Kane said.

“These latest awards come on the back of a string of tourism success for Mandurah including being named as Australia’s Top Tourism Town in
September 2023”.
