A Perth father has admitted to murdering his two young children inside their Yanchep home.
Jason Headland was found with life-threatening, self-inflicted wounds inside the home in October last year, along with the bodies of his three-year-old son and five-year-old daughter.
He made a brief appearance in the Stirling Gardens Magistrates Court on Wednesday via video link from Hakea Prison where he pleaded guilty to his children’s murders.
Police discovered their bodies inside the Flight Vista Home around 10.30pm on October 20 after forcing their way in.
Headland was rushed to hospital under police guard.
The children’s mother was not at home at the time of the incident.
Headland will be sentenced in the Supreme Court on July 27.
