Rockingham Detectives are investigating a serious assault in Orelia on Saturday 13 April 2019.

Around 10pm the victim (a man in his 40’s) was walking home and met a man who he believed to be homeless, somewhere in the vicinity of the intersection of Gilmore Avenue and Thomas Road Orelia.

The victim invited the man to stay the night at his place and the two walked a distance to the man’s house.

The man was able to be removed from the house and soon began throwing things at the premises, smashing several windows, before leaving the area.

The man is described as: light skinned, between 35 and 45 years of age, approximately 170cm tall, with shaggy shoulder length hair. He was wearing a grey singlet/tank-top, dark coloured pants with a light-coloured stripe down the leg.

As a result of the assault, the victim sustained two large cuts to the back of his head, cuts and bruising to his face, and cuts to his arms and legs and was treated at Rockingham Hospital.
