Police are calling on witnesses to a serious assault on Rottnest Island.
Two men were standing near a stage in an outdoor area on Saturday February 23 when an unknown man in the crowd struck one of the men to the face, causing him to fall to the ground.
The 34-year-old victim received a laceration to his eye and a fractured eye socket.
The offender is described as 28 to 30 years old, fair skinned, approximately 178cms tall, with a medium build, brown hair in a comb-over style.
He was wearing a light blue t-shirt and black jeans.
Police say there were numerous people in the area at the time of the assault and detectives would like to speak to anyone who saw the incident.
