A 22 year old Secret Harbour man has been charged with Assault Public Officer in Quindalup.
Police in attendance at the Leavers Entertainment Zone in Quindalup overnight removed three male security guards from the event and charged one with allegedly assaulting a police officer.
Around 8pm on 22 November 2018, police had cause to talk to two security guards after they were observed behaving in an erratic manner.
The two guards, a 22 year old man and a 26 year old man, were removed from The Zone and searched.
Officers then questioned a third security guard, who then allegedly became aggressive and attempted to run from police.
He was restrained after a struggle, during which he bit a male Senior Constable on the hand causing his skin to break.
He was subsequently searched, and an amount of what is believed to be methamphetamine was located on him. This item will require further testing.
A 22 year old Secret Harbour man has been charged with Assault Public Officer and will appear before the Busselton Magistrates Court on 14 December 2018.
Inquiries will continue into the matter.
