Seniors and Carers Expo set for Rockingham

PIC: City of Rockingham

A Seniors and Carers Expo will be hosted in Rockingham to celebrate the contribution of seniors in the community.

There will be over 145 stalls available to provide information to visitors on the range of services, programs, activities and products available to seniors and carers.

The 10th annual event will be hosted by the City of Rockingham on Friday October 11, 2019 at Mike Barnett Sports Complex.

City of Rockingham Mayor Barry Sammels encouraged those in the community to visit the expo.

“The Seniors and Carers Expo has grown into one of the biggest seniors events in the City, attracting thousands of visitors each year,” Mayor Sammels said.

“The event plays an important role in highlighting the significant contribution seniors have made to our society and gives our older residents, and their carers, the opportunity to learn about the wide range of services that are available .”

There will be free parking available in the main car park - with priority given to those with ACROD permits.

Additional parking will be available in the overflow parking area behind the venue on Dixon Road Reserve.

A free wheelchair accessible shuttle bus will be available to assist visitors from the overflow car park to the venue.

Mobility scooters and wheelchairs will be available for use at the event - for bookings please contact Street Hassle Events on 9524 5386 or expo@streethassle.com.au.
