The WA Police Force would like to remind members of the community that they have a right to voice their concerns through protest activity, as long as that protest activity is conducted lawfully – which means the protest activity does not impede the rights of others, which includes their right to conduct their business. We encourage protesters to conduct their protest in a professional and lawful manner.
Should a business or property owner be confronted by protestors, police advise them to:-
- Remain Calm, Record and Report,
- Call your local police station,
- Reinforce when recording, that any right to remain on the property is rescinded and request all individuals leave immediately, and
- Most importantly film or take photos of the activists and vehicle registrations.
Anyone with information regarding these kinds of activities is asked to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or to make a report online at www.crimestopperswa.com.au
