Florida Beach south of Mandurah has been closed after a swimmer was knocked by a 3.5 metre great white shark.
It happened around 1.35pm on Sunday
“To reduce the threat to people, Florida Beach (BEN sign MH242) has now been closed and will remain closed for 24 hours when City of Mandurah will reassess the situation,” a DPIRD spokesperson said.
It’s believed the swimmer was not injured.
