A 17-year-old boy has been charged over a police pursuit that ended near Pinjarra.
The teen, who was allegedly driving a stolen Holden Commodore station wagon, failed to stop for officers along the Kwinana Freeway in Wellard around 7.15pm on Tuesday, April 2.
Police allege the boy drove recklessly through several suburbs before the Commodore eventually came to a stop on the South Western Highway in Fairbridge after running over a tyre deflation device.
The Southern River boy has been charged with stealing a motor vehicle, reckless driving to escape pursuit and failing to stop.
He is due to appear before the Perth Children’s Court today.
