Major Crash Investigators are seeking information regarding a fatal crash in Capel last night, 16 January 2020.
It will be alleged around 7:30pm, a Ford Falcon sedan travelling along Bussell Highway has travelled onto the incorrect side of the carriageway and into the path of a Volvo semi-trailer.
It will be further alleged the vehicle collided with the semi-trailer travelling in the opposite direction, causing the semi-trailer to leave the carriageway and roll.
The driver of the semi-trailer, a man in his 70s, died as a result of the crash.
The driver of the Ford Falcon, a 55-year-old man from Marybrook was taken to hospital with minor injuries. He has been charged with one count of Dangerous Driving Occasioning Death.
He is due to appear in Bunbury Magistrates Court later today, 17 January 2019.
