A Warnbro couple are celebrating a $1.2 million Lotto win.
The couple in their 60s purchased the Saturday Lotto ticket from Warnbro News and Gifts in early April.
The woman said she initially thought they had won $1000, but when she checked the ticket the retailer discreetly told her that due to the size of the prize she would need to visit Lotterywest HQ to claim it.
“I said to the retailer how do I collect my $1,000, but it turned out the prize was worth a little more than that,” she said.
“The win is still sinking in, but the first thing that comes to mind for us is to help our children.
“I’ll also be able to treat my dog to a fancy haircut now too.”
Lotterywest spokesperson James Mooney said it’s been a great week for WA pet owners when it comes to Division One wins.
“It was only a matter of days ago when we were celebrating a winner that re-routed her shop to Pinjarra for kitty litter and ended up purchasing a Saturday Lotto ticket now worth $1.6 million.
“We now have a lucky pup set for a pamper, thanks to this Saturday Lotto win from Warnbro.”
