A daycare centre in Mandurah has suffered extensive damage after a fire engulfed the building just minutes after closing last night.
The fire was reported at Playtime Early Learning Centre on Davey Street just after 6pm on Wednesday.
Luckily no one was inside the building at the time despite the business only closing minutes prior.
Three fire crews attended the scene and were able to extinguish the fire by 7.30pm.
The fire is being treated as accidental and is believed to have been caused by an electrical fault.
The damage bill is set to be around $250,000 and the daycare will remained closed for the foreseeable future.
