UPDATE: The search for two kayakers thought to be missing off Dawesville has been suspended.
At about 1.30pm on Thursday police were called about two people on a kayak that appeared to be in distress.
The caller reported that around 1:10pm two people were on a yellow or orange kayak with a white paddle approximately 1 nautical mile off Falcon Bay.
A thorough air and sea search did not find anyone in distress or objects in the water.
The search has since been called off unless further information comes to hand.
