Wild weather set for south-west

PIC: File

A low pressure system over the state's south-west is set to bring showers and strong winds on Friday.

Winds of up to 100km/h are expected for the Lower West and Central West areas - potentially causing damage to homes and property.

Rainfall is expected to be widespread across WA, the worst hitting the south coast with showers of up to 80mm.

The Mandurah and Rockingham areas could face around 20mm of rain and 80km/h winds, depending on the movement and development of the low pressure system.

The front is expected to clear by Saturday morning.
