Rockingham Detectives are investigating a robbery incident in Baldivis where a disabled elderly man was punched in the face.
On Sunday February 4 a A 66-year-old man who suffers from cerebral palsy was walking on afootpath when a male offender confronted him.
Police said the attack happened on a footpath near a shopping centre located at Settlers Avenue, Baldivis.
The man punched the victim to the face when he attempted to take the victims wallet.
The victim sustained injuries from the attempted robbery including cuts and bruising to his face.
An onlooker approached and intervened the incident when the male offender fled the scene.
The victim’s carer was subsequently informed of the incident and police were contacted.
The male offender is described as dark skinned, medium height, with long dark curly hair, a long grey beard and of heavy build.
Rockingham Detectives would like the member of the public who assisted the victim to come forward and make contact with them.
