Emergency Services have discovered the body of a deceased man after responding to a structure fire this morning in Cooloongup.
DFES received reports of a large plume of smoke coming from a home on Mariner Place near Mataitai Loop around 6:08am.
When fire crew arrived on the scene, the single story home was fully engulfed in flame.
The blaze took personnel around 40 minutes to bring under control.
Six fire trucks remain on the scene to monitor the situation, including Rockingham VFRS.
The cause of the fire is not yet known.
Fire investigators with the WA Police are on the scene.
