Police are calling for witnesses to an attack in the Smart Street Mall that left a 23 year old man with facial injuries.

A 27 year old man Halls Head man has been arrested and will appear in court. 

Police say he knocked the 23 year old to the ground and continued to assault him while he was down. 

They were called to an altercation involving a number of people at around 2.30 this morning.
