Almost all employees at the soon to be opened refurbished Coles store at Mandurah Forum are locals with 90 per cent of the team living in the Mandurah and Peel area.
Coles will unveil its newly refurbished market-style supermarket offering and enhanced shopping experience when its doors open next Friday.
Store Manager John Graham has worked at Coles at Mandurah Forum for two years and said the team is excited to welcome the community to the improved supermarket.
“We’re very excited to launch our new market-style store to the local community.
"We think our customers will love the new fresh produce, bakery and deli sections,” he said.
“Ninety per cent of the team lives in the Mandurah and Peel area, so we’re collectively committed to serving local customers and by being involved in number of community activities.
"I look forward to welcoming our customers to the new store and thank them for their support throughout the redevelopment.”
To celebrate the completion of the new-look supermarket, Coles will host Family Fun Days, every Saturday for four weeks from 11am to 4pm starting on July 29.
There will be free entertainment for the whole family, including face painting and live music.
To inspire members of the local community to find their inner chef, WA’s popular cooking duo, Anna and Jordan Bruno will also be demonstrating some of their favourite recipes from the Coles Magazine.
