Residents in the Peel region are being urged to ensure their electoral enrolment is up to date for the upcoming local government elections.
The electoral roll for the October Local Government election closes at 5pm this Friday, September 1.
Electoral Commissioner David Kerslake said if anyone is uncertain about their enrolment, it is easy to check.
"For anyone who has just turned 18 or recently changed address, it is not too late to get on the roll."
Electors can enrol or update their address details online at www.elections.wa.gov.au
Mr Kerslake also encouraged Western Australians to put their names forward for election as local representatives.
“Like all areas of government, local councils make decisions that are important in our daily lives and we owe it to our community to take an active interest."
Election Day is Saturday, October 21.
