Taskforce Mirzam detectives have charged two men in relation to a string of child sex abuse charges involving seven children.
Detectives have charged a 45-year-old and 56-year-old man with a total of 101 additional offences as a result of their ongoing investigation into child sex abuse in Western Australia.
The 45-year-old man has been charged with 79 offences and is accused of assaulting his two daughters, a stepdaughter & stepson and a teenage girl.
It is alleged between 2001 and 2006 the man sexually assaulted his two biological daughters, who were both aged four at the time of the first offence.
For this he's been charged with:
· Two counts of Sexual Relationship with a Child; and
· Two counts of Indecently Deals with a Child under 13 years.
It will be further alleged between 2011 and 2015 the same man sexually assaulted his stepdaughter and stepson who were aged between five and six at the time of the first offence.
He has been charged with 65 offences relating to his stepchildren. The charges are:
· 41 counts of Indecent Dealings with a Child/Lineal Relative;
· 14 counts of Sexual Penetration of a Child/Lineal Relative;
· Four counts of Stupefying in order to Commit an Indictable Offence;
· Three counts of Encourage Child Sexual Behaviour;
· Two counts of Fail to Protect a Child; and
· One count of Persistent Sexual Conduct.
It is also alleged in 2011, the 45-year-old sexually assaulted a young girl who was 14 at the time of the first offence. For this he's been charged with:
· Four counts of Sexual Penetration of a Child over 13 years and under 16 years of age;
· Four counts of Indecent Dealings with a Child over 13 years and under 16 years of age; and
· Two counts of Stupefying in Order to Commit an Indictable Offence.
Meanwhile the 56-year-old man has been charged with 22 offences and is accused of assaulting two children, one male and one female.
It will be alleged between 2001 and 2006 the man sexually assaulted a boy and girl who were four years old at the time of the first offence. He has been charged with:-
· 15 counts of Indecent Dealing of a Child under 13 years;
· Five counts of Sexual Penetration of a Child under 13 years;
· One count of Persistent Sexual Conduct; and
· One count of Stupefying in Order to Commit an Indictable Offence.
Both men are due to appear before the Perth Magistrates Court tomorrow.
