A beach at Halls Head was closed after a five metre great white shark was spotted feeding off a whale carcass.

The City of Mandurah said the situation will be reassessed on Monday morning.
The beach was closed yesterday afternoon with Surf Life Saving WA saying the whale carcass will wash up near Doddies Beach.
"The shark was tagged and released 4km offhsore."
