Shoppers and retailers will be able to enjoy longer trading hours in Mandurah this Christmas.
The City of Mandurah has accepted an offer from the Minister for Commerce for extended retail trading hours over the Christmas period (December 10, 2022 – January 2, 2023) without needing to make an application, which is usual practise.
Those looking to do their festive shopping in Mandurah will have extra hours to hit the shops, including longer hours on weekdays, weekends and public holidays.
These hours bring Mandurah’s Christmas trading hours closer in line with the neighbouring Perth metropolitan area.
The following hours have been set for Christmas retail trading:
All weekdays:
-
December 12 – 16, 2022: 8am – 9pm (no change)
-
December 19 – 23, 2022: 7am – 9pm (extra hour)
Saturdays:
-
December 10, 2022 – January 2, 2023: 8am – 6pm (no change)
Sundays:
-
December 10, 2022 – January 2, 2023: 8am – 6pm (extra three hours)
Public Holidays:
-
Boxing Day, New Years Day and Australia Day – 8am – 6pm (extra three hours). Shops will be closed on Christmas Day, Good Friday and Anzac Day
With the recent permanent extension to Mandurah’s retail trading hours in September, people are now able to shop later into the evening all year round, offering more flexibility for people to stay in Mandurah for their after-hours shopping.
