A 70-year-old man has been charged over the alleged bashing of a 91-year-old man in Wannanup.
Police allege the victim drove into a car park on Westview Parade and parked his vehicle around 4.45pm on Friday.
“Upon exiting his vehicle, the victim was confronted by a man on a motorbike who began to verbally and physically assault him,” a WA Police spokesperson said.
“The man punched the victim in the face several times and proceeded to kick him after he had fallen to the ground. The man then left the carpark on his motorbike.”
Members of the public helped the elderly victim who then eventually drove himself home and called police.
A short time later he was taken to Peel Health Campus for treatment.
On Saturday, police charged a 70-year-old man with aggravated assault occasioning bodily harm and one count of criminal damage.
