A Mandurah and South West GP accused of sexually abusing two 15-year-old girls has been granted bail.
Douglas McCarthy, who works as a GP in the Halls Head and Donnybrook areas, allegedly made payments to a 15-year-old girl in exchange for sex.
Police allege another 15-year-old girl was also sexually abused multiple times.
A naked photo of the girl was allegedly found on the 60-year-old's mobile phone after police searched his home earlier this month.
The alleged offences happened between November 2019 and March 2022.
Dr McCarthy has been a doctor for 36 years and was last year recognised for his long service at the WA Rural Health Awards.
He faces 19 child sex offences including ten counts of sexually penetrating a child over 13 and under 16.
Dr McCarthy will appear in court again on October 25.
