The four candidates running for Mandurah Mayor will answer community questions this Thursday night at the Madora Bay Hall.
Current Mayor Marina Vergone, Peter Jackson, Mark Brzezinski and Ryhs Williams have agreed to participate in a public Question & Answer event.
All four candidates will be asked a series of set questions followed by a Q & A session with local residents.
The night is being run by the Madora Bay Community Association which has listed four local questions and four that are Mandurah-wide.
1. What have been your most significant contributions to Mandurah & the Peel region to date?
2. What is your vision for Mandurah & the Peel region?
3. If you’re elected next Mayor of Mandurah, what will be your top 3 priorities?
4. How will you identify the needs of, and solicit suggestions from, community members when making decisions about future development of Mandurah?
5. What role do you see Madora Bay playing in helping to make Mandurah a great place to live, work and visit?
6. What do you think about the idea of local residents collaborating with the City of Mandurah and other stakeholders to develop a broad-based, long-term Master Plan for Madora Bay?
7. What is your view about establishing one or more new train stations between Mandurah and Warnbro?
8. What is your attitude to community members attending monthly Council meetings and sharing post-meeting refreshments with Councillors?
The Community Engagement evening will be held on Thursday, September 28 at the community hall on Orelia Street from 7pm.
